Industrial-grade machines
Not the light commercial gear you find in most laundromats. These are built for volume, so weeks of washing or a full family's load goes through in one cycle.
Open now · 6am to 11pm, every day
Calderwood's boutique self-service laundromat. Industrial-grade machines that get through weeks of washing in one load, coin or card, open every day of the year.
Why Odd Socks
Not the light commercial gear you find in most laundromats. These are built for volume, so weeks of washing or a full family's load goes through in one cycle.
Tradie gear, hi-vis, farm and site clothing, sports kit, oily overalls. The machines are made for exactly this, and you're not putting it through your washer at home.
Pay however suits you. Coins if that's what you've got, or card, Apple Pay and Google Pay if you don't carry cash.
Select detergent or softener when you start your cycle and the machine dispenses it for you, measured correctly. Prefer your own brand? Bring it and skip the option.
CCTV throughout the premises, so you're comfortable leaving a load running while you duck out.
The space is cleaned every day. You'll walk into a fresh, hygienic laundromat, not somebody else's mess.
A generous stone folding table, so everything goes home folded instead of creasing in a bag.
Ample free parking directly outside, in the Calderwood Village centre carpark. No time limits.
We're next to Priceline, right off the shopping centre carpark. Put a load on, then do the groceries at Woolworths or get a session in at Anytime Fitness.
Pricing
Pay by coin or by card, whichever you have on you. Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay all work.
Everyday clothing, school uniforms, work shirts, the regular weekly load.
Bulk loads, work and site clothing, doonas, blankets and linen.
Pay by the minute and stop when your load is dry.
Add these when you start your cycle and the machine doses them in for you.
It's easy
Choose a washer or dryer that suits your load size and pop everything in.
Select your cycle and pay by coin or card. Add detergent or softener and the machine doses it for you.
Wait in the space, or duck next door and do the rest of your shopping.
Use the folding table to fold everything fresh, then head home.
Our story
Odd Socks was built for the Calderwood community. A self-service laundromat designed properly, with machines chosen for capacity rather than cost, so a job that used to take all weekend at home takes an hour here.
Warm lighting, considered finishes, and industrial machines that handle what a home washer can't. The family's weekly wash, a king-size doona, weeks of backlog, or a run of work clothes off site. We're here every day of the year.

Coin or card, whichever suits. The machines take coins, and card, debit, Apple Pay and Google Pay all work too, so you don't need to hunt for change.
13kg washes are $12 and 20kg washes are $15. Drying is $1 per 5 minutes on medium and $1 per 4 minutes on large. Detergent is $2, fabric softener is $1, or bring your own.
Yes. Every wash can be run cold, warm or hot. Cold suits everyday clothing and colours, warm handles towels, bedding and general household washing, and hot is the one for work clothes, heavily soiled loads and anything you want properly sanitised.
Yes. The 20kg machines handle king-size doonas, blankets, pillows and large bedding sets. It's one of the most common reasons people come in.
Yes. Our machines are auto-dosing, so if you select detergent ($2) or fabric softener ($1) when you start your cycle, the machine measures and dispenses it straight into the load for you. Nothing to carry, nothing to pour.
If you'd rather use your own, bring it along and just don't select the option. That's the way to go if you have skin sensitivities or a brand you swear by.
Yes, and this is what industrial-grade machines are actually for. Hi-vis, site and farm clothing, overalls, sports kit and heavily soiled loads all go through fine, and it keeps that stuff out of your machine at home.
Yes. The 20kg machines take bulk loads, so weeks of backlog, a full household wash or a run of work clothing goes through in a single cycle rather than four or five at home.

Yes, ample free parking directly outside in the Calderwood Village centre carpark. Easy access and no time limits, so you can shop or train while your load runs.
